$270 per session.
Medicare rebate - $145.25 with a GP Mental Health Treatment Plan leaving an out-of-pocket gap of $124.75.
DVA and WorkCover funded sessions have no out-of-pocket costs.
How to book a Medicare Funded Session
Get a Mental Health Plan
Book an appointment with your GP to request a MHTP and a referral to Torgeir Solemdal. You can find the details that your GP needs here. Medicare can cover up to 10 sessions.
Book a session
You can book a session via the booking system or by reaching out via phone or email. In-person or a telehealth appointment will be offered within 7 days.
Bring your Treatment Plan
Prior to our first session, your GP will often send your MHTP directly. If not, you can safely send it or you can bring it in to your first session.
Rebate is Paid Directly
After our session is complete, the Medicare claim is processed and the rebate ($145.25) goes directly to your Medicare registered bank account within a few days.

Release of client files
We charge a fee to provide a release of a copy of aspects of a client’s file. It is charged at the current hourly APS recommended rate of $300/hr + GST (pro-rata). This fee is charged to the client if the client is requesting the release of a copy of their file. This fee is charged to the third-party if the third-party is requesting this release.
Psychological reports & letters
Fees for the preparation and writing of psychological letters & reports and completion of forms (requested by clients or third parties), including completion of insurance reports, that require time outside of consultation to be completed, are charged at the current hourly APS recommended rate of $300/hr + GST (pro-rata).
